About this deal

And I have no shame in admitting that this surprised me on my first viewing, and was a little disconcerting, in what I originally perceived to be a kid’s film. Much of the film’s power derives from the dissonance generated by off-screen sounds or subtle shifts in the deceptively cheerful musical score, and the new soundtrack brings such elements into sharper relief without steamrolling the speakers with added roar. Laika hadn’t perfected their Stop Motion cloning in CGI form, so some items moved like traditional stop motion tech, and others seemed to move too smoothly at times) and the fact that it all felt like Tim Burton if Tim Burton wasn’t addicted to making everything gothic in his visual designs. The Atmos brings with it a tasteful mix of both music and sound effects also in the height channels which will downright amaze you very early on.

It’s a film that was directed by a man [Henry Selick] who also did some of my other favorite modern stop-motion animated films as well. aren't plagued with an abundance of unsightly compression-related issues, as is the case with many digital copy presentations. Bass is a little restrained, in that it is not heavy or bombastic, but it is no slouch either, underpinning everything well, rather than being overpowering. case literally, suck the life out of those that seek it at the cost of everything they know to be true.

Y ou get a total roughly of 180 minutes of extras here, not including the audio commentary track on both the 4K and Blu-ray Discs.experience and one that will mesmerize audiences with beautiful animation, creative storytelling, and a haunting score. While that may not be the most attractive aspect of the release, the new material is a pretty cool look inside the making of the movie and the arduous process of making these films.
