About this deal

Every time she tries to stop spending, she winds up needing a little pick me up as she gets down in the dumps—a feeling many can relate to.

A little unsolved mystery at the end may cause the paparazzi to swarm Becky’s home and leave readers wanting more. Her bank manager is sending her sterner and sterner letters, her credit cards are being declined, her Mum and Dad have no idea… what is she going to do?That is, until she finds a financial story that really sparks her journalistic interest, and begins to spar with handsome and successful financial PR millionaire Luke Brandon. I think that if Rebecca had grown into a miraculously responsible woman, totally transformed, changing her expending ways into frugality, I would have been bored. It always amazes me who we allow to speak in this culture, and by “allow” I mean by our tacit acquiescence to whatever crap the corporate powers force-feed us. so me being me took out all her books and started organizing them, then I found 2 copies of THIS book and she just went— "here. Instead of doing what I normally do – look at the minimum payment required and ignore the total completely – I find myself staring straight at the bottom figure.

But when costs start to spiral out of control, she must decide whether to accept help from an unexpected source—and therefore run the risk of hurting the person she loves.

Full of Becky’s outrageous ideas, including a heist à la Ocean’s Eleven, this novel does not disappoint. In fact, it took so long to drive this to an interesting point, I nearly lost interest (which, considering how short this book is, says a lot).

Sometimes, my willpower can overrule that temptation, though passing through the Times Square and the Fifth Ave area multiple times during the week for work really weakens my resolve. And lately Becky's been chased by dismal letters from the bank –letters with large red sums she can't bear to read–and they're getting ever harder to ignore. Two credit card bills were sent to the wrong people, and – get this – each person paid the wrong bill without realizing. I couldn’t stop laughing every time she got herself into another fix and Luke would coincidentally happen upon her.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. The main character of this book, Rebecca Bloomwood, is the most annoying, daft, and ridiculous character I have ever had the misfortune to read about. I read the first four books of the series when I was in my early teens so couldn’t relate to Becky AT ALL, but was addicted all the same! I can only wonder how many fine novels have been suppressed so that this fatuous story can make it on to the bookshelves. And lately Becky’s been chased by dismal letters from the bank—letters with large red sums she can’t bear to read.

While the movie could benefit from some things in the book that they didn't use, the book would benefit much more from the movie.

Even though she is the master of a wrong decision, her point of view can trigger the reader to keep reading. It is another substantial factor that contributes to the majority of the novel, with Suze, her best friend who supports her as much as possible even though Becky has a lot of problems. I think that a heroin addiction is less damaging to young women, and it's certainly more interesting to read about.
